ODSG collaborates with UNIDO to facilitate Circular Economy Project on Renewable energy.*
The Ondo State Government is collaborating with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization UNIDO, to embark on the assessment of off-grid renewable energy and small hydropower projects in the State. The move was part of its efforts by the state government to facilitate economic growth and ensure safe and clean environment for the people of the state. Declaring open a two day workshop on Safe Environment, Commissioner for Environment, Oyeniyi Oseni, stated that Ondo State has been selected as one of the beneficiaries of the circular economy and hydropower projects of the Organization in the country. The move, according to him followed a request by the state government to be a beneficiary of the project to drive its vision of providing sustainable energy in a safe environment to enhance the economic prosperity of the state.
