The Ondo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Olaolu Akindolire said Ondo State Government still operates tuition free education programme in its public primary and secondary schools across the state. The Commissioner while monitoring the on-going admission process into public schools in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo and Ondo West Local Government Areas, warned against extortion of students under whatever guise during the admission process. ONDO GOVERNMENT NOT BEHIND WITHHOLDING OF 2024 WASSCE RESULTS, COMMISSIONER CRIES OUT

  The Ondo State Government said it has no hand in the withhold of results of some students who participated in the 2024 West Africa Secondary Secondary School Examination WASSCE, in Ondo State by the West Africa Examination Council, WAEC. Reports indicate that some results of public secondary school students that sat for the examination are still being withheld by WAEC,  even after the state government had paid all the necessary registration fee. Reacting to the report, Ondo State Commissioner for Education Science and Technology, Mr Olaolu Akindolire said the state government has no hand in the action of WAEC as registration fee for the examination had been fully paid.   Ondo State Commissioner for Information, Wale Akinlosotu, has lauded governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for touching residents' lives through the developments going on in different sectors and areas of the state. Akinlosotu, who said the developmental efforts have given people of the state a new lease of life, explained that "the state and as well citizens are better off for the governor's interventions". Commissioner for Education tasks school Principals on effective implementation of government policies

  The Ondo State Commissioner for Education Science and Technology, Mr Olaolu Akindolire has tasked principals of public secondary schools across the state on effective and successful implementation of government policies in the education sector. At a meeting in Akure with principals of all public secondary schools in the state, the Commissioner described the school administrators as professionals saddled with the mandate to ensure effective implementation of government programmes and polices at the grassroots. He reminded them that Ondo State still operates free education programme, explaining that the collectibles approved by government only cover levies like PTA, computer, sports, medical, entrepreneur, utility among others and has nothing to do with tuition. ODSG TRAINS PRE-PAID METERS INSTALLERS AHEAD OF DISTRIBUTION ON TUESDAY.

The Ondo State Power Company in collaboration with Meter Access Providers is set to train no fewer than 500 meter installers ahead of the flag off and distribution of pre-paid meters to residents of the state. The move is to ensure that the installation of the pre-paid meters across the state is smooth and hitch-free. Speaking with newsmen in Akure, the Special Adviser to Governor on Energy, Engr. Johnson Alabi, said the training was part of the instructions by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to ensure that the exercise is carried out professionally. The Special Adviser said the proposed training programme for 500  installers was to ensure that the meters  are installed appropriately for optimal and excellent performance for the benefit of the citizenry.
