Government ready to partner reliable organizations to enhance quality education; Agagu*
Ondo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Olufemi Agagu FNIVS, says the state government is ready to partner any reliable organization working towards enhancing the quality of Education in the state.
He gave the assurance while recieving a team from Daramola Adesuyi Foundation, DAF, during a courtesy call on him in his office in Akure.
The team, led by Mrs Stella Daramola, mother of the founder of the foundation and wife of the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, were at the Commissioner's office to present to him an application aimed at enhancing quality education in the state.
The application, according to the spokesperson of the foundation was developed to aid students in making adequate preparation towards their examinations, enhance their study skills and give them a broad knowledge on examination techniques with essential materials.
The Commissioner, after watching and listening to the presentation by the foundation said he was impressed with the logical thinking of the founder of foundation and developer of the application, Mr Adesuyi Daramola.
He said such application, if approved and adopted, is capable of eradicating entirely the incidence of examination malpractice in our schools, and thereby enchanting the quallity of education.
The Commissioner said the intent of the Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu's administration in the state was to provide standard and quality education for the people, and produce students that can rival their counterparts across the globe.
He added that the state government was already collaborating with other partners on e-learning and other ICT teaching and learning methods to broaden the scope and expertise of our students in information technology.
The mother of the founder and developer of the application, Mrs Stella Daramola said the team was at the State Ministry of Education to seek the approval of the state government to enable the foundation deploy the application in schools.
She said the pilot project of the application has been tested in about ten schools in the state and the outcome has been fantastic.
