The Ondo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Laolu Akindolire, has described the All National Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools, ANCOPSS and Parents/Teachers Association PTA, as critical stakeholders whose activities have consequential impacts on the education sector. The Commissioner while meeting with Executive of Ondo State ANCOPSS and PTA in Akure, described the two bodies as major stakeholders and partners capable of driving government 's policies and programmes for the overall development of the education industry in the state. He called on the two major stakeholders whom he described as drivers of government programmes and policies to collaborate and synergize with the state government in its efforts to drive the education sector in the state to a greater height. School resumption; we have not introduced additional levy, Ondo government insists, commends turnout of students and staff

  As public schools resume throughout Ondo State today, the State Government has declared that it has not approved any additional levy for students in both primary and secondary schools. Government insisted that the Cloud-Based Education Programme for SS3 students in state public secondary schools was the initiative of the Parent/Teachers Association, PTA and Ondo State Chapter of the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Olaolu Akindolire while monitoring school resumption in Owo and environ said the state government still operates tuition free education policy in public schools across the state. WE APPROVED CLOUD-BASED EDUCATION PROGRAMME FOLLOWING A REQUEST BY PTA AND ANCOPSS- ONDO COMMISSIONER INSISTS

The Ondo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Olaolu Akindolire, says the Cloud-Based Education Programme for SS3 students in state public secondary schools was the initiative of the Parent/Teachers Association, PTA and Ondo State Chapter of the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS). The Programme was designed by PTA Ondo State and forwarded to the ministry for approval after both stakeholders (PTA & ANCOPSS) have reached agreement with the provider to pay N4,000 per students but the ministry reduced the amount to N2,700. The state government however granted the approval following a request by the Parent/Teachers Association PTA and All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools ANCOPSS, considering the potentials of the initiative to enhance the performances of students in external examinations, with the N2,700 paid directly into PTA account and not that of the state government. Ondo Government closes Ilesha Garage/Aule road for maintenance on Saturday, January 4th..

The Ondo State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure will commence the construction of culverts on the Ilesha Garage/Aule road on Saturday, 4th of January. 2025. The state government is taking the advantage of the Clement weather to reconstruct the coverts and make the road easily motorable now and during the rainning season. As a result of this, the state government hereby inform the general public that the road leading from Ilesha Garage to Aule community will be closed throughout Saturday, 4th of January, 2025 during the period of the maintenance operation. A statement  by the Director of Information, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Foluke Amodu, quoted the Acting Permanent Secretary, Mr Akinluyi Omotola, as directing all motorists and commuters to take FUTA south gate as alternative route.
