YOU ARE CRITICAL STAKEHOLDERS IN EDUCATION SECTOR, AKINDOLIRE TELLS ANCOPSS, PTA*
The Ondo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Laolu Akindolire, has described the All National Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools, ANCOPSS and Parents/Teachers Association PTA, as critical stakeholders whose activities have consequential impacts on the education sector.
The Commissioner while meeting with Executive of Ondo State ANCOPSS and PTA in Akure, described the two bodies as major stakeholders and partners capable of driving government 's policies and programmes for the overall development of the education industry in the state.
He called on the two major stakeholders whom he described as drivers of government programmes and policies to collaborate and synergize with the state government in its efforts to drive the education sector in the state to a greater height.
Mr. Akindolire explained that the State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, approved the Cloud-Based Education programme initiated by PTA in the middle of last year because of its potentials to enhance the performances of students and curb malpractices during both internal and external examinations
According to him, PTA and ANCOPSS must be on the same page to ensure the successful implementation of all programmes and policies in the education sector, hence the need for a seamless relationship between them.
He therefore directed the provider of Cloud-Based Education programme in the state to make a special presentation on offline and online workability of the programme before ANCOPSS and PTA under the supervision of the management of the ministry.
The Commissioner also enjoined the parties to analyze the presentation dispassionately and come up with unbiased opinion on the practicality of the programme, especially in areas that have no Internet facility.
The two stakeholders noted that the education sector in the state has witnessed positive transformations under the administration of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and promised to work together to drive government programmes and policies for the overall development of the sector.
