Ondo State Government Releases Unity Schools Exam Results

  The Ondo State Government has officially announced the release of results for the Entrance Examination into the state's five Unity Secondary Schools.  You will  recall that the examination took place on June 21, 2025, across 85 designated centers throughout the state. Dr. Akindele Ige, the Administrative Secretary of the Ondo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, in a statement revealed that a total of 13,370 candidates sat for the examination. Of these, 7,006 were male and 6,364 were female. Parents and guardians can now check their wards' results by logging in with their registration PIN on the official portal: www.odsgexams.com.  

Professor Ajibefun assumes office as Commissioner for Education, calls for synergy in moving the sector forward.

  The new Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology in Ondo State, Professor Igbekele Ajibefun has called for suggestions, ideas, innovations and synergy in revamping the education sector in the state. The Commissioner, while addressing top management staff and other members of the staff of the Ministry upon assumption office, noted that the education sector of every state is very crucial to its overall development. The Commissioner emphasized that every segment in the education sector is very important, noting that the growth and success of every nation depends largely on the education system and its educational eattainment. Joint SS2 Promotion Exams; Ondo State Government reshedules three papers earlier slated for tomorrow*

The Ondo State Government has postponed the papers scheduled for tomorrow in the ongoing SS2 Promotion Examination in all secondary schools across the state. A statement by the Head, Information & Media, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Olaoluwa Meshack, says postponement of the three papers became imperative due to the public holiday declared by the Federal Government tomorrow. The Federal Government had declared tomorrow Tuesday 15th July, 2025, a public holiday to mourn the former Nigeria President, General Mohammad Buhari, who passed on yesterday in a hospital in London. The three papers; English Language, Commerce and Woodwork, were earlier scheduled to hold tomorrow across all secondary schools in the state but had to be rescheduled in compliance with the Federal Government directive. Ondo State Government announces 2025/2026 academic calendar.

  The Ondo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, has released the school calendar for 2025/2026 academic session in the state. A circular by the state Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, says the First-Term academic session for the calendar year, will run for 14 weeks, as schools will resume on Monday, 15th September, 2025 and proceed on vacation on Friday, 12th December, 2025. There will be a mid-term break on Friday 31st October, 2025, or November 3rd, 2025, while the First-Term holiday will run for three weeks, beginning from Monday 15th December, 2025 to Friday 2nd January, 2026. The Second-Term academic session will run for 13 weeks, beginning from Friday 5th January to 2nd April, 2026. 2025 World Menstrual Hygiene Day, Ondo Government takes awareness campaign to the grassroots; Distributes 2,000 Free Sanitary Pads

The Ondo State Government has extended its menstrual hygiene awareness campaign to secondary schools in Ondo south and North senatorial districts as part of activities to commemorate the 2025 World Menstrual Hygiene Day. The 2025 World Menstrual Day was marked with a Outreach Campaign and distributing over 2,000 packs of sanitary pads to students and community members. Speaking at the event  held at Igbokoda and Owo respectively, the state Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, reaffirmed his administration's commitment to promoting the health, dignity, and overall well-being of women and girls.
