BREAKING: Old naira notes remain legal tender – Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has said its February 8 order barring the  Federal Government  and its agencies from enforcing the February 10 deadline for the use of old 200, 500 and 1000 naira notes still subsist. The court made the clarification on Wednesday following complaint by lawyer to Kaduna, Kogi and Zamfara states, Abdulhakeem Mustapha (SAN) that the Fed Govt and its agencies have failed to comply with the order and have allegedly directed the rejection of the old notes. Mustapha said the plaintiff filed a notice of none-compliance with the order of the court order made on February 8. And demanded that the court take action against the respondent to protect the dignity of the court. He added: “That order has been flouted by the government. We are talking of executive lawlessness here. BREAKING; Nigerians hail the Supreme Court judgement restraining FG from enforcing naira deadline

  Nigerians have hailed the Supreme Court judgement restraining the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Central Bank of Nigeria from enforcing the February 10 deadline for the phasing out of the old naira notes. Those who reacted to the rulling delivered by the apex court this morning, described it as a victory for the masses. The Supreme Court this morning issued an order of interim injunction restraining the Federal Government and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) from enforcing the  February 10 deadline for the phasing out of the old naira notes. TERRORISTS ON RAMPAGE IN OSE; ATTACK FOUR COMMUNITIES - Killing residents and destroying property

  No fewer than six farmers, traders & passengers have been gruesomely murdered in the last two weeks at Arimogija & Molege axis of Ose Local Government Area of Ondo state. The rampaging herdsmen were said to have attacked farmers, and destroyed their crops at Arimogija, Molege, Imoru and Ijagba in the last two weeks. 4th Convocation; UNIMED, Ondo graduates 327

 The University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, Ondo State, Nigeria, has graduated 327 students from different specialized medical fields. At it's 4th Convocation Ceremony held at Ondo, 10 students graduated with First Class Honour, 128 will Second Class Upper Honour, 125 Second Class Lower Honour,  and 30 with Third Class Honour. Four candidates also graduated with Post-graduate Diploma in Public Health, while 34 others graduated with unclassified degrees in Physiotherapy. The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Adesegun Fatusi, said the 327 graduants included the first of Medical Laboratory Scientists, and a significant increase over the 176 graduands of the 2020/2021 set.

AGAGU HOSTS WINNERS OF THE 2023 PAN AFRICAN YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME, TASKS OTHER STUDENTS ON EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE.

The Ondo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Olufemi Agagu FNIVS, has hosted in his office in Akure, the three Ondo State students who won the 2023 America Leadership Training Programme. Three students, Damilola Janet Akadiri, Oluwakemisola Favour Awoyode, and Faith Mercy Omowumi, all from St. Louis Girls Grammar School, Akure, Ondo State, were selected for the 2023 Pan Africa Youth Leadership Program (PAYLP) scheduled to hold in the United States of America this year. They were selected among the nine students recommended to the US Embassy by the Ministry of Education Science and Technology as a result of their outstanding  performances at the 2022 Joint SS2 promotion Examination. The nine nominated students were subsequently  screened by the US Embassy where the best three among them were selected for the programme.
