  The Ondo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, has organized a brainstorming session for it senior professional Officers to expose them to modern ethical principles in the education sector. The session held in Akure, was also aimed at intimating the senior Education Officers on contemporary acceptable rules and standard of conduct for enhanced effective service delivery. Addressing the session, the Ondo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Olaolu Akindolire, said the programme was timely, particularly at a time when the ugly trend of declining ethical values that are undermining the rules of engagement is rampant in the Civil Service. Destruction of street furniture worries Ondo State Government; vows to go tough on culprits

  The Ondo State Government has expressed worry over the destruction of street furniture such as traffic barriers, bollards, streetlamps, traffic lights, traffic signs, bus stops, fountains, public sculptures, waste receptacles among others in Akure, the state capital, and other major towns across the state. Johnson Alabi, has tasked the management of the Benin Electricity Distribution Company, BEDC on optimum performance and efficient service delivery for the benefit of the citizenry. Alabi noted that the complaints of electricity consumers are enormous, and tasked the distribution company to seek ways to lessen the travails and pains of the people. ONDO GOVERNMENT TO REACTIVATE NON-FUNCTIONAL BOREHOLES ACROSS THE STATE.

  The Ondo State Governor, Lucky Ayedatiwa, has directed the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA) to assess the functionality of all water schemes across the state with the aim of reactivating them. Commissioner for Water Resources, Public Sanitation, and Hygiene, Mr Sunday Akinwalire, in compliance with the directive, was on assessment  visit to the KAJOLA community in ODIGBO LGA, along with his team to evaluate the KAMOMI water scheme. Mr Akinwalire explained that the directive by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to activate non-functional boreholes across the state was to enable residents have access to clean and potable water. The Commissioner noted that the KAMOMI water scheme, which is entirely solar-powered, has been operational since December, 2020 and has consistently served the KAJOLA community. Government releases 2024/2025 school calendar for Ondo State

The Ondo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, has released the school calendar for 2024/2025 academic session in the state. A circular by the ministry of education, science and Technology, says the First-Term academic session for the calendar year, will run for 14 weeks, as schools will resume on Monday, 16th September, 2024 and proceed on vacation on Friday, 20th December, 2024. There will be a mid-term break on either Monday 25th or Friday 28th October, 2024, while the First-Term holiday will run for three weeks, beginning from Monday 23rd December, 2024 to Friday 10th January, 2025. The Second-Term academic session will run for 13 weeks, beginning from Friday 13th January to 11th April, 2025. Ondo State Government commends Federal Government's efforts at improving nutritional status of citizens.

  The Ondo State Government has commended the Federal Government's initiative aimed at addressing food insecurity and nutritional status of its citizens across the nation. The State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Lola Fagbemi, said no government would be happy seeing it's citizens malnourished or die of hunger, hence the aptness of the Federal Government's initiative, especially at this critical period. The Commissioner, while receiving a team from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, in her office in Akure said the challenges of food security in Nigeria were enormous, and enjoined all and sundry to embark on house gardening so as to stamp out hunger in our homes.   The Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Infrastructure,  Lands and Housing,  Pastor Ayoade Babalola, has described good roads and Infrastructure a necessity that must be provided by government to the people. Check the list of collectibles in public primary and secondary schools during the 2024/2025 academic session

The Ondo State Government has released the list of collectibles in public primary and secondary schools across the state during the 2024/2025 academic session. A circular released by the state Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Folasade Adegoke, puts the total amount of collectibles from new intake into public primary schools at N5,000. Also, new intakes into public secondary school will pay a total of not more than N14,000 while returning students, JSS2- SS3 will pay N11,000 The amount covers PTA levy, Examinations, ICT, Sports development, utility, medical, security, entrepreneur/agric, CASS,  running expenses and administrative charges for external examinations among others. Ahead of admission into public schools, Ondo Commissioner warns against collection of unapproved levies*

  The Ondo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Olaolu Akindolire has warned against collection of unapproved levies from admission seekers into the State's Public Primary and Secondary Schools. The Commissioner handed down the warning during a meeting with representatives of the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), Academic Staff Union of Secondary School (ASUSS), Association of Primary School Headteachers of Nigeria (AOPSHON) and Parents/Teachers Association (PTA) in Akure, Ondo. He said government has an approved list of collectibles in all public primary and secondary schools across the state and would soon make it available to all principals, headmasters and other heads of public institutions.
