ODSG adopting strategic approach to decongest correctional centres - Olukayode Ajulo*

  The Ondo State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Mr Olukayode SAN, said the state government is working on a strategic approach towards decongesting correctional centres across the state. Part of the strategy, according to him, inludes quick and effective administration of the Criminal Justice System to ensure that those with minor offences do not stay more than necessary at correctional centres while awaiting trial. The Commissioner, while receiving the Ondo State Controller of Correctional Centre, Mr. Charles Oyewole in Akure, said although government is interested in decongesting the centres, however it must be strategic about it so that the entire process in not complicated. ODSG releases Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results*

The Ondo state Government has released the results of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for Junior Secondary School Schools. The Transitional Examination, leading to the award of the Basic Education Certificate, was conducted  for  students both in public and private secondary schools across the state. The Administrative Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Dr Akindele Ige, enjoined parents and guardians to check the results of their children/wards on the Ministry website; www.odsgexams.com using their registration pin number.

Model Secondary School, Akure wins 10th edition of NILDS's National Quiz Competition*

Model Secondary School, Akure has emerged the winner of the 2026 edition of the  National Quiz Competition organized by the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS, for secondary schools in Ondo State  The quiz competition which focused on the Legislature, democracy and governance, was aimed at providing continued education on the legislature and broadening the knowledge of students and youths on democratic governance in Nigeria. The Ondo State Government has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to inclusive governance and speedy development of the state through realistic budgeting and strategic implementation of programmes and policies.
