No rift in Ondo APC, we are united for president Bola Tinubu's re-election; Progressives Network for Tinubu declares*

 


The Progressive Network for Tinubu, an organization working for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu has declared that APC in Ondo state remained one big family working to ensure victory for the party in the 2027 presidential election in Ondo State.

The group said its conviction to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) for a second term in office, stemmed from his ability to bring Nigeria to a turning point in just 27 months on the saddle of leadership coupled with his audacity to remove fuel subsidy and the courage to float the naira among several other major decisions. 

Addressing newsmen in Akure, the Director General of the Network, Pastor Olumide Obadele described the 'Network' as a support group saddled with the sole mandate of galvanizing supports for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 Presidential Election. 

"President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not a trial and error leader, he knows his onions. As it stands today, we can say that a prosperous Nigeria that we have dreamt about for many years is no longer a dream as we have found in him a leader with the required capacity to take us to the Dreamland".

He said although the network received some strategic supports from the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olufunmi Tunji-Ojo, nevertheless, it was not in anyway intended to subvert or undermine the position of the Ondo State Governor, Dr Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa as the party leader in the state.

Obadele acknowledged the efforts of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa at building a strong and formidable party towards ensuring victory for president Bola Tinubu in 2027, but added that the Progressive Network for Tinubu, was one of the numerous mobilization groups for the victory of APC in the state during the upcoming presidential election.

He said the purported power friction between the state Governor and the Minister of Interior was hyped by political jobbers for personal uterior motives, adding that there was no 'love lost" between the two eminent sons of Ondo state.

The Director General emphasized that the Progressive Network for Tinubu believes strongly in party structure and  respect for leadership, and had duly informed the Ondo State leadership of the All Progressives Congress of its activities through the State party Chairman, Ade Adetimehin, and had also informed the office of the Ondo State Governor, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa about its operations in the State.

He said the Network recognized the existence of other support groups in the state, but differ a little because of its mode of operations, as it embraces modern technologies to occupy the media space and keep the political clime in Ondo State busy to reach the target audience.

"Our vision is clear and we are not in competition with anyone or groups. With the passage of time our work will speak for us as we traverse the length and breath of Ondo State, preaching only one gospel - the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu" Pastor Obadele declares.

Joint SS2 Promotion Exams; Ondo State Government reshedules three papers earlier slated for tomorrow*

The Ondo State Government has postponed the papers scheduled for tomorrow in the ongoing SS2 Promotion Examination in all secondary schools across the state. A statement by the Head, Information & Media, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Olaoluwa Meshack, says postponement of the three papers became imperative due to the public holiday declared by the Federal Government tomorrow. The Federal Government had declared tomorrow Tuesday 15th July, 2025, a public holiday to mourn the former Nigeria President, General Mohammad Buhari, who passed on yesterday in a hospital in London.
