Aiyedatiwa: your excellent performance in office in 10 months earned you electoral victory - Ondo Permanent Secretaries*
The Ondo State Forum of Permanent Secretaries has attributed the landslide victory recorded by the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa in the just concluded governorship election to a testament of his sterling performance in office in the last 10 months.
Aiyedatiwa, the incumbent Governor of the State, secured victory in all the 18 Local Government Areas of the state, garnering 366,781 votes to defeat his closest rival, Mr Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 117,845 votes.
The Chairman of the forum of Permanent Secretaries in the state, Chief Bunmi Alade, and the Secretary, Prophet Jide Ekpobomini, in a statement in Akure noted that the victory of the Governor was made possible by his sterling stewardship qualities.
The statement expressed the warmth congratulations of the state Accounting Officers to the Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and his Deputy, Dr Olayide Adelami, on the well-deserved victory, stressing that the Governor had a well-established antecedents that paved the way for him.
It added that the victory was an affirmation of the Governor's outstanding leadership qualities, good human relations, excellent performance, and delivery on the dividends of democracy to people of the State.
"Your success at the polls is also a clear attestation that your administration’s policies and programmes, and campaign messages of hope have resonated deeply with the electorate.
“Your commitment to the security of lives and properties is also unparalleled".
The Permanent Secretaries therefore reposed their confidence in the ability of the Governor to take Ondo State to greater heights in the area of social, infrastructural, education, health, environmental, and economic development for the benefit of the people of Ondo State,
They prayed the Almighty God to grant the Governor more strength, wisdom, and enablement to complete the transformation of the state to become a reference point among the comity of States in Nigeria
