ODSG begins 2025 State Examinations, holds placement examination next Saturday
A total of 13,308 candidates sat for this year's placement examination into the five state government owned Unity Secondary Schools across the state.
The examination, held on Saturday at 76 designated centres across the three senatorial districts of the state was peaceful and hitchfree.
The Administrative Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Dr. Akindele Ige, lauded the peaceful conduct of the examination throughout the State.
The placement examination for the state's Unity Secondary schools, signalled the beginning of the 2025 Ondo State examinations being conducted by the state Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
Dr. Ige hinted that placement examination into the state public secondary schools would hold next Saturday at all designated centres across state.
He enjoined parents and guardians to ensure that their children and wards arrive at their designated centres by eight o'clock in the morning with their registration slips and writing materials.
Meanwhile the Administrative Secretary, Dr Akindele Ige, has tasked Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) and Area Education Officers (AEOs) on effective and efficient service delivery in line with the 7-point "OUR EASE" Agenda of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa's administration.
Addressing the Education Officers at an internal workshop/stakeholders meeting in Akure, Dr. Ige, reminded them of their roles as team leaders and urged them to ensure smooth working relationship through clear communication, timely meeting and professional correspondence.
He also tasked them on effective organizational skills at zonal and local government levels, saying such leadership is key in achieving the ministry's overall goals and objectives.
The workshop also dwelled on essential administrative skills such as Mail Appraisal and Memo Writing Basics, supervising staff and delegation, as well as practical tools for HODs, among others.
Dr. Ige noted that applying these practices and tools effectively would help in improving productivity, boosting staff morale and enhancing the overall contribution to the ministry's success.
